Energy Balls Recipe
– 1 cup of pitted dates
– 1.5 cups of almonds or other nuts nuts (Mix and match: walnuts, macadamia nuts, hazelnuts…)
– 2 tablespoons of chia seeds
– 2 tablespoons of seeds (sunflower, linseed, flax seed…)
-1/2 cup oats
–3 tablespoon of raw cacao powder
Extra: 1 tablespoon of hemp protein powder (or other energizing powder: maca, lucuma, baobab…)
For the end: coconut shavings to roll the balls inBlend everything except dates for 1 minute. Make sure you have a floury consistency (add extra oats if consistency is too oily –> will depend on the seeds & nuts you use)
Then bled in the dates (another minute)
taste, add 2 tbsp of coconut sugar or other sugar if you have a sweet tooth!
Use your hands to roll the paste into little balls and at the end roll them into the coconut shaving.
Place in fridge for them to firm up and store them there.
If you want to take them as a snack place them in freezer so you can enjoy them while they are unthawed.
